New Designers.

At the end of our university course my class were all involved in the Degree show, Fashion show and then some of us made our way down to London to exhibit at New Designers in Angel. (Which just happens to be round the corner from where my placement was) However i Did not attend the exhibition as i was already engaged, however I still had a presence there. 

12 Students from the class exhibited there, from which i have heard was a great experience. The Show was Very busy with industry people as well as schools and public. There were many universities showing there most were the textiles and 3d design courses. However we went along as our Fashion course. 

I have heard mixed reviews if this was a good move or not, just because many of the industry that  does attend are textiles or 3D. However many members of my class have had interest from all spectrums from magazines to embroidery technicians. 

But at least we can say we have tried it. Our approach to the exhibition was very minimal and chic, with one mannequin and an ipad each. Here are some images from the event.

Fashion Show Video

Ok Here we go the long and awaited video from the Fashion Show in June. So for those of you who missed the show here is a snapshot of my collection edited by brother dear. 


This show was a production I was involved in alongside while doing my final collection. I was on the Fashion Show committee, which was a great experienced as I was involved in a great deal of teamwork while also organising outside contractors liaising with the head of School. I was a great deal of work, after organising all 18 models, backstage crew, and Front of House crew as well as designing a Fashion Catalogue which the front illustration was kindly donated to us by Libby Walker, This was the finished product.

Graduation

Well i have finally done it, Graduated from Grays School of Art  with a BA(HONS) with first class in Fashion Design!!! Woo Hoo! Here are some picture from the day. onwards and upwards from here... London here i come! x

Ibiza

So after a full on year creating my final collection the end is here. As soon as uni was over i flew off to Ibiza for a well deserved holiday before graduation. Where we had a nice relaxing holiday and blew off some steam, here are some the best bits....

Fashion Show 2012

So as you all already know i was one of the organisers for the graduate fashion. this was a great experience where i had to learn lots of knew skills, in the organising events. it was a bit manic at times and very stressful. but well worth it in the end. so here are some of the backstage highlights of the show. Degree Show

Gray's School of Art Degree show ran from Friday the 15th of June to saturday the 23rd. The show was very successful. here is my exhibition space shown below. Demonstrating the equestrian theme, with beautiful photography by Louise Carnegie. While the exhibition was running i got some lovely comments and Won the RGU Purchase prize winning £500 as one of my pieces are now in the RGU archives. (The tweed dress shown below on the wall)
